attacks from side control

Hunter’s shoulder lock

When opponent puts near arm under your chest (to do Hunter’s escape…) then cup his arm and switch base feeding your leg across his belly. Make sure your head touches the mat and raise your hips to submit.

Far arm bar

If opponent wraps his far arm around your neck, jump to knee on belly while holding his arm tight (with your hand and head) rotate your other leg 180 to stick your knee in his armpit (while dragging the other leg across his face).

Far cutting arm bar

If you can isolate his near arm between your legs and isolate his far arm (with your head) then slide your shin across his face/throat (as you slide down his far arm). Put your face and shoulder on the mat with the far arm isolated, place both hands on his elbow and pull up to apply submission. Keep other leg straight for balance and recovery if it fails (slide back across body).
